"In your Phone, in their Air" was inspired by a Washington Post article by reporter Peter Whoriskey (October 2, 2016) on graphite production and pollution in Northeastern China.

Graphite is a mineral that is used in lithium-ion batteries and that severely pollutes the air, soil, and water of people living nearby graphite factories.
